Wildflowers
Wild flowers
(Another roadside romance... )
We are very much alike them. Or are we?
It takes few minutes to look around the garden. You will see thriving weeds and wild flowers. It is not their fragrance that allures me but the quiet nuance in them, the shyness, the wild and territorial spirit, the rough edges, undying petals, and endurance. I admire their sheer audacity to be with a group of soft, fragrant and velvety petals.
Wild flowers...
Untouched. Unplucked. Unvalued. Unnoticed. Unharmed. Unloved.
They remind me of how small we all are under this huge, showy, flashy, radiant sky. Often shadowed, they never ask for space but compete in this crowded place...
We are very much alike them.
Are we?
We thrive too.
We compete too.
We live under shadows too.
We remain unnoticed too.
But, we are beautiful too.
We too have a life that has to move on no matter what others may think of us.
Resilient, we grow.
We grow and who knows, maybe someday, someone will shower us the right amount of affection and love. Someone will start to notice the true "You". Someone will appreciate you for who you are. Someone will love the wildfire in you. And that someone won't be afraid to touch you.
Just wait for that someone, someday.
